Day 2 of the Basketball Development League (BDL) – Mumbai Edition continued the momentum from the opening day, with teams stepping up their performances and delivering a mix of closely fought contests and commanding wins across the Boys’ and Girls’ categories.
The Boys’ category saw JB Navi Mumbai begin the day with a hard-fought 60–52 victory over Raigad Crossers. Pune Global Sports then faced South Mumbai Maniacs, who secured a strong 50–42 win.
Later, the fans witnessed Raigad Crossers bounce back emphatically, registering the day’s biggest Boys’ victory with a dominant 63–32 win over Pune Global Sports. In the final Boys’ match, Thane Pronets continued their strong run with a convincing 61–33 victory over South Mumbai Maniacs.
With two commanding wins, Raigad Crossers and Thane Pronets stood out in the Boys’ category, showcasing their attacking strength and consistency.
The Girls’ category produced several closely contested encounters. Mumbai Suburbs RR Nova opened the day with a narrow 31–26 win over Sports Striders Borivali, while South Mumbai Maniacs registered a solid 35–22 victory against Raigad Crossers.
The day continued with Mumbai Snipers defeating JB Navi Mumbai 43–37, followed by ND Bhayandar Sparks overcoming Raigad Crossers 35–30. South Mumbai Maniacs then edged Sports Striders Borivali 34–28, before Mumbai Suburbs RR Nova capped off the day with a thrilling 46–43 victory over Mumbai Snipers.
Mumbai Suburbs RR Nova stood out in the Girls’ category, securing two important victories, including a closely fought win in the final match of the day.
With several close finishes, impressive wins and strong team performances, Day 2 further intensified the competition as teams continued their push for supremacy in the BDL Mumbai Edition.
