History has been made at the Basketball Development League (BDL) – Mumbai Edition, Season 1!
After nine days of competitive basketball, the inaugural season organised by Olympia Sportz & Events at VIBGYOR High, Goregaon, has come to a memorable close.
And we have our first-ever BDL champions!
Thane Pronets – Boys’ Champions
Thane Pronets delivered a commanding performance in the Boys’ Final, defeating Raigad Crossers 85–59 to become the inaugural BDL Boys’ champions.
Janav Khanchandani of Thane Pronets was named Player of the Match for his standout contribution.
South Mumbai Maniacs – Girls’ Champions
In the Girls’ Final, South Mumbai Maniacs defeated ND Bhayandar Sparks 54–37 to be crowned the inaugural BDL Girls’ champions.
Tisha Maneckji of South Mumbai Maniacs was named Player of the Match for her impressive performance.
The Beginning of a New Legacy
From the league stage to the knockout rounds and championship games, BDL Mumbai Edition Season 1 celebrated competitive basketball, teamwork, determination and emerging young talent.
Thane Pronets and South Mumbai Maniacs will forever be remembered as the first-ever BDL champions.
The first season may be over, but the journey doesn’t end here.
